Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift, 3x12.0 hours.

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Develop individualized plans of care based on assessment data and collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate actively in the patient rehabilitation program, focusing on patient education and outcomes.
• Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission and educate patients and families accordingly.
• Ensure timely communication regarding patients' statuses to support continuity of care.
• Provide training and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel, prioritizing effective use of time and resources.
• Contribute positively to the team environment while ensuring personal and environmental safety.
• Maintain effective communication with the nursing manager regarding service needs.
• Assume charge responsibilities as requested after orientation.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through continued education and self-study.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
