Underwriting Associate - Commercial

As an Underwriting Associate within PNC’s Statement Spreading organization, you may be based in Pittsburgh, PA; Philadelphia, PA; Cleveland, OH; Kalamazoo, MI; Houston, TX or Denver CO. Key Responsibilities Complete basic due diligence, document processing, and financial/statistical analysis in support of the underwriting function. Assist in preparation of business cases for credit approval; you do not have credit approval authority. Review relevant forms, provide analysis, and order reports. Ensure accuracy and/or completeness of relevant information and documents throughout the underwriting process. Perform basic financial analysis, such as cash flow and collateral analysis. Research and respond to internal/external customer questions and inquiries. Receive spread requests for renewals or new commercial loans via the workflow tool, review financial statements for accuracy, and return them to Underwriters for correction if necessary. Input data into internal spreading software to maintain consistency for approval from Underwriters. Key Qualifications Customer focused: knowledgeable of customer needs and aligned with satisfaction as a primary consideration. Managing risk: assess and manage all risks associated with business objectives to support PNC’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework. Accuracy and attention to detail. Decision making and critical thinking. Effective communications. Financial analysis and information capture. Knowledge of underwriting processes. Managing multiple priorities. Office support tools and operational functions. Education & Experience Associates degree or equivalent experience; typically 3+ years relevant experience. Military service and related certifications may be considered in lieu of formal degree. Pay Transparency & Benefits Base Salary: $31,000.00 – $66,125.00 (may vary by location, performance, experience). Incentive eligibility based on company, business and individual performance.
