Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Swing Bed unit requiring a compact or OK RN license and 2+ years of experience.

Details

• Work in a Swing Bed Program (Skilled Care Unit) providing skilled nursing and rehabilitation therapies for patients transitioning from acute hospital stay to home or long-term care
• 13-week assignment
• Night shift schedule from 18:30 to 07:00

Requirements

• Active OK or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• Nursys license verification within 30 days prior to start required
• Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start required

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols
• Implement and monitor patient care plans, documenting and communicating patient condition
• Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care
• Carry out physician and nursing orders
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment
• Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required
