Credit Risk Specialist - SRE

Job Purpose Monitor and maintain the bank’s critical technology infrastructure, resolve complex technical issues, and minimise disruption to operations. Key Responsibilities Provide technical support for service management, resolving complex issues for assigned clients. Develop the support model and service offering to improve customer and stakeholder service. Execute preventative maintenance on hardware and software and use monitoring tools/metrics to identify, prevent and address potential issues. Maintain a knowledge base with detailed documentation of resolved cases for future reference and knowledge sharing. Analyze system logs, error messages and user reports to identify root causes of hardware, software and network issues. Provide resolutions by fixing or replacing faulty hardware, reinstalling software or applying configuration changes. Implement automation, monitoring enhancements, capacity management, resiliency and business continuity management. Identify and remediate or raise potential service‑impacting risks and issues through the appropriate process. Optimize monitoring tools, thresholds, and alerting to ensure issues are known when they occur. Leadership & Expectations Lead a team of specialists performing complex tasks and influence decision-making at executive level. Set objectives, coach employees, and manage performance and rewards. Collaborate with other functions, analyse multi‑source data, and communicate complex information effectively. Influence stakeholders to achieve outcomes and support the organisation’s governance agenda. Required Technical Skills High proficiency in SQL, database technologies, Unix and Windows within Investment Banking. Experience with ITIL concepts and best practices. Use of configuration management tools and reporting (Service First/SNOW). Experience with batch monitoring tools such as Autosys. Ownership of reliability improvements from problem ingestion through engineering remediation. Deep familiarity with observability strategy, including alert quality, signal hygiene and early‑warning design. Project management skills and understanding of follow‑the‑sun model with offshore teams. Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $115,000 – $160,000 (Whippany, NJ).
