Director of Sales and Marketing

Residential Construction | Eastern North Carolina | $130K+ Target Compensation

Are you a proven sales and marketing leader who knows how to build a strong team, improve performance, and turn strategy into results?

A growing residential construction company in Eastern North Carolina is seeking an experienced Director of Sales & Marketing to lead its inside sales organization and help drive the company’s next stage of growth.

This is a highly visible leadership position reporting directly to the President & CEO . You’ll have the opportunity to influence sales strategy, marketing direction, pricing, promotions, processes, and team development across the organization.

As Director of Sales & Marketing, you will take ownership of sales performance while working closely with the CEO to develop and execute the company’s marketing strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

· Lead, coach, and develop the inside sales team to achieve annual revenue and profitability goals.

· Partner directly with the CEO to develop and implement sales and marketing strategies that support company growth.

· Oversee and continuously improve sales processes, performance standards, and accountability.

· Manage company pricing strategies and promotional offers .

· Identify opportunities to improve processes within Sales & Marketing and collaborate with other departments on company-wide improvements.

· Recruit, train, coach, and develop team members to build a high-performing organization.

· Help strengthen the company’s use of its CRM, digital marketing platforms, social media, technology, and AI tools .

· Use data and performance metrics to identify opportunities, solve problems, and improve results.

· Build strong working relationships across departments and help create alignment between Sales, Marketing, Operations, and executive leadership.

We’re looking for a leader who combines sales leadership, marketing knowledge, business judgment, and people-development skills .

Successful candidates should have:

· Knowledge of residential construction practices .

· At least 2–4 years of sales leadership experience.

· At least 2–4 years of marketing leadership experience.

· A demonstrated track record of success in both sales and marketing .

· Previous experience directly leading and developing employees.

· Experience with digital marketing and social media .

· Experience using a CRM system as part of the daily sales process.

· Experience using AI tools in a business environment .

· Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel .

· Strong analytical, communication, relationship-building, and team-building skills.

· A four-year college degree .

This isn’t a position where you’ll simply maintain an existing sales operation. You’ll have the opportunity to help shape how the company sells, markets, develops its people, and grows.

You’ll work directly with the President & CEO and have meaningful input into decisions that affect revenue, profitability, marketing strategy, pricing, processes, and organizational performance.

Target compensation, including salary and bonus, is $130,000+.

This position is based in Eastern North Carolina near Rocky Mount .

The Director should be able to work in the office at least four days per week . There is potential for the hybrid schedule to expand over time.

Travel is minimal.

Candidates should also be capable of lifting up to 20 pounds when necessary.
