Part-Time Lower School Learning Specialist (K-5th)

Lakehill Preparatory School seeks a Part-Time Lower School Learning Specialist for the 2026-2027 school year. This individual can expect to support Lower School students, families, and faculty with targeted interventions and administrative support. Certification as a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) is preferred but not required. Key responsibilities include: Provide one‑on‑one and small group targeted reading intervention informed by assessment data, incorporating multi‑sensory strategies and maintaining clear, consistent communication with families regarding student progress. Conduct benchmark progress monitoring at least twice per year and as needed; synthesize benchmark and ongoing progress data to describe growth and guide next steps. Collaborate closely with classroom teachers to identify students’ literacy strengths and needs, while offering coaching, modeling, and instructional support. Create, implement, and update Student Accommodation Profiles for students who meet Lakehill’s eligibility requirements for school‑based accommodations. Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions, and monitor student progress. Schedule tutoring spaces. Assist with the administration of ERBs, midterms, finals, and AP Exams.
