Interim Director, Brand Marketing Pay Rate: $70.00 - $75.00/hr, paid weekly
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Location: Culver City, CA 90230
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (60% Onsite / 40% Remote)
Duration: 6-Month Contract, potential for extension
Overview Seeking an experienced Brand Marketing leader to provide strategic direction and business continuity during a temporary coverage period. This role will lead brand strategy, portfolio management, go-to-market execution, and commercial activations across the Color, Care, and Styling portfolio. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in beauty, prestige beauty, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) marketing, with a proven ability to drive brand growth, manage cross-functional initiatives, and deliver measurable business results. Key Responsibilities Brand Strategy & Portfolio Management
- Lead day-to-day management of the Color, Care, and Styling portfolio.
- Execute annual brand priorities, growth initiatives, and portfolio strategies.
- Ensure consistent brand positioning across all professional channels and touchpoints.
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics including sales growth, market share, distribution, awareness, and conversion.
- Identify business opportunities and risks and implement corrective action plans.
- Drive commercial growth through data-driven decision making and performance optimization.
- Develop and execute integrated marketing and product launch strategies.
- Lead pricing, promotional, and campaign activation planning.
- Partner with Sales, Trade Marketing, and Education teams to ensure launch readiness and execution.
- Utilize consumer, stylist, customer, and competitive insights to guide marketing strategy.
- Identify emerging trends and opportunities to strengthen brand equity and business performance.
- Translate market intelligence into actionable business recommendations.
- Manage marketing budgets, investment allocation, and activity planning.
- Optimize spending to maximize business impact and return on investment.
- Ensure financial accountability and alignment with business objectives.
- Collaborate with Sales, Trade Marketing, Education, Finance, Operations, and Global Marketing teams.
- Drive alignment across departments and ensure successful execution of key initiatives.
- Serve as a strategic partner to stakeholders across the organization.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and prioritization for the Brand Marketing team.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and results-driven culture.
- Ensure continuity of operations and focus on high-impact business initiatives.
- 10+ years of progressive brand marketing leadership experience.
- Experience within beauty, professional beauty, prestige beauty, or consumer packaged goods (CPG).
- Proven success driving brand growth and commercial performance in the U.S. market.
- Experience managing complex, multi-channel go-to-market programs.
