Surgical Nurse Practitioner

Vascular Surgery - Nurse PractitionerAstrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP) for a locum tenens assignment in Springfield, Oregon. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.Responsibilities for a Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP): • Provide advanced practice provider (APP) services in Vascular Surgery on a locum/gap coverage basis • Work 12-hour call shifts (0700-1700 or 1700-0700, beeper-based) Monday-Friday and/or 24-hour call shifts (0700-0700) Monday-Friday or weekends as scheduled • Report at the beginning of shift for 0700 start times to complete handoff, rounding, and related duties • Perform clinic hours from 0800-1630 as applicable • Complete a minimum of 6 call shifts per month • Provide both inpatient and outpatient care services in vascular/endovascular patient population • Perform rounding and admissions for inpatient cases (36-bed unit) • Manage an average of 15-20 patients per day • First assist in the operating room (OR) and assist with in-clinic procedures • Work collaboratively with an assigned MD/DO; will not work solo • Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications (must be from American Heart Association or American Red Cross) • Utilize Epic EMR system for clinical documentation • Provide documentation of clinical services representative of the scope and complexity of privileges requested within the previous 24 months • Provide case logs of surgical cases for the last 24 months, including documentation by surgeon noting whether assistance was as first, second, or third assist • Provide specific documentation of training and competency for first assist in surgery, including type and number of procedures in the last two years • Maintain valid state licensure; Oregon licensure preferred for earlier start dates • Comply with COVID-19 vaccination requirements (required, no exemptions) • Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and credentialing requirementsBenefits for a Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP): Weekly pay every FridayComprehensive Professional Malpractice Insurance24/7 Recruitment SupportFull-service Credentialing and Corporate Travel TeamReferral Bonus up to $1,500
