Head Coach - Middle School Wrestling New Albany-Floyd County Consolidated School District, Highland Hills Middle School – Georgetown, Indiana Job Details Job ID: 5844926 Application Deadline: Posted until filled Posted: Jul 21, 2026 4:00 AM (UTC) Starting Date: Immediately Position Type: Part‑Time Job Categories: Athletics & Activities > Coaching Qualifications Experience coaching/participating in sports at the high school or collegiate level preferred Prior coaching experience is desirable Knowledge of NFHS, IHSSA, and/or other applicable rules and regulations Knowledge of basic First Aid and Athletic Training practices Excellent organizational skills and ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, coaches, and community while fostering a positive atmosphere Other alternatives as the Administration may find appropriate and acceptable High School/Trade School degree preferred Citizenship, residency or work visa required Responsibilities Coach individual student athletes in mechanics and skills necessary for achievement in competitive sports Coordinate and supervise a regular schedule of practice Encourage sportsmanship and team unity and enforce all sportsmanship guidelines Enforce discipline of contest, school, conference and state rules and regulations Supervise coaching staff and provide opportunities for their professional development Oversee safety conditions and accountability issues involving students and facilities located both on NAFCS properties and at off‑campus facilities Maintain accurate records of uniforms, equipment, individual/team statistics, and accomplishments Submit required forms and athletic documents; recommend purchase of equipment and supplies Attend required meetings and clinics for coaches, State and conference selection, and Athletic Boosters Collaborate with Athletics Department Administration, staff, student athletes, and parents to establish a dynamic practice and game schedule Develop a total K‑12 program, on and off season, through camps, drills, and training Coordinate and develop an effective and sustainable fundraising plan with the Athletic Director that is easily communicated with administration, players, coaches, media, and community Perform other related duties as assigned by Principal, Athletic Director, and/or other designee Maintain a workplace free of any alcohol or non‑prescribed controlled substance abuse throughout employment Physical Requirements Frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms; occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. #J-18808-Ljbffr Young World Physical Education
