Route Sales & Equipment Service

Job Description

Job Description

Stalmic Distributors is looking for someone who can build strong customer relationships, keep equipment running, and recognize opportunities to help customers with additional products and equipment.

This role combines route sales with hands-on service. You will run an assigned route during the week, perform maintenance on meat-room and food-processing equipment, and look for opportunities to sell products or equipment that can help customers operate more effectively.

You do not have to choose between being a salesperson and being a technician in this role. We are looking for someone who can do both: earn trust by solving problems and then use that trust to identify legitimate customer needs.

Stalmic provides on-the-job training, a company vehicle, and a company card for approved on-the-road expenses such as fuel, meals, and lodging. The right person will be self-directed, comfortable traveling, confident talking with customers, and motivated by both service and sales results.

Applicants must be able to pass and maintain the ability to pass a drug screen, background check, and MVR check.

What Stalmic Provides

• On-the-job training

• Company vehicle

• Company card for approved travel expenses, including fuel, meals, and lodging

• Employer-paid employee health insurance

• 401(k) with company match after one year

• Dental and vision insurance available

• Paid time off and paid holidays

• Opportunity to grow with the company and increase responsibility over time

At Stalmic, our best people are helpful, accountable, willing to learn, willing to get involved, and committed to treating customers and teammates with respect.

$40,000 to $65,000 per year

What You’ll Do

• Run an assigned customer route during the week.

• Perform routine maintenance on food-processing and meat-room equipment.

• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate Stalmic products and equipment.

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.

• Follow up on sales opportunities and customer requests.

• Participate in sales meetings, seminars, and training.

• Provide a high level of customer service.

• Maintain a safe driving record and operate the company vehicle responsibly.

• Accurately document customer activity and related information in company systems.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

• Comfort discussing products, asking questions, and identifying sales opportunities.

• Mechanical aptitude or willingness to learn equipment maintenance and service.

• Ability to work independently and manage a route effectively.

• Valid driver’s license and clean MVR.

• Ability to pass and maintain a drug screen and background check.

• Previous sales, route, service, or customer-facing experience is helpful.

• NetSuite experience is preferred.
