Banking Representative

Monthly Pay: $3,868 - $5,777 USD per month Summary When customers reach out, this role makes sure they leave with clear, practical information about everyday banking questions and next steps. The Banking Representative responds directly to questions about account access, balances, transaction status, digital banking features, and service options, helping customers use available services with confidence. The role sits within the banking support team and works under a banking support team lead. It partners with customers, support colleagues, digital banking specialists, and internal service teams when a question needs added review. This fully remote position is based in New York, United States, and is performed work from home. The role requires a 40-hour weekly commitment. Working days and shift times may vary. Job Responsibilities Monitor incoming customer calls, emails, and service tickets, identify the reason for contact, and select the appropriate support path. Listen carefully to customer questions about account access, balances, transaction status, digital banking tools, and available service options. Review the details provided during each interaction and record clear, factual notes in a CRM such as Copper. Use a support platform such as Help Scout to open, update, categorize, and track customer service tickets through resolution. Handle phone conversations through a contact-center phone system such as Talkdesk while maintaining a calm, helpful, and professional approach. Explain standard banking service information in plain language and confirm that the customer understands the next step. Guide customers through general digital banking navigation, including sign-in support and available self-service features. Follow up on open tickets when additional information, an internal response, or a customer update is needed. Escalate complex access, transaction, or service concerns to the banking support team lead or the appropriate specialized team with complete interaction notes. Meet quality expectations through accurate information, timely turnaround, complete notes, appropriate follow-up, and respectful customer interactions. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. No experience required, related experience preferred in banking, financial services, customer-facing support, or a comparable desk-based setting. Interest in retail banking, digital banking services, payment activity, and clear explanations of service options. Ability to understand customer questions, communicate information plainly, and maintain a composed tone during routine or sensitive conversations. Ability to learn a CRM such as Copper, a support platform such as Help Scout, and a contact-center phone system such as Talkdesk. Sound judgment for recognizing when a customer request requires follow-up or escalation to a team lead. Reliable computer, high-speed internet, and a quiet private workspace, with availability for the 40-hour weekly commitment and agreed working days and shift times.
