- Ensure employees understand their roles, responsibilities, quality standards, and daily priorities.
- Provide timely coaching when performance, attendance, communication, quality, or conduct concerns arise.
- Document performance concerns appropriately and follow company accountability procedures.
- Conduct regular employee check-ins and annual performance reviews for direct reports.
- Identify team strengths, training needs, staffing gaps, and opportunities for employee development.
- Model professionalism, dependability, effective communication, and respect in interactions with employees, guests, vendors, and other departments.
- Lead by example and be willing to step into field operations when necessary to support the team and protect guest readiness.
- Oversee daily Housekeeping and Laundry schedules, assignments, workload, and staffing.
- Plan ahead for arrivals, departures, deep cleans, special projects, maintenance activity, high-occupancy periods, and other operational needs.
- Monitor the day's progress and make timely adjustments when staffing, property conditions, guest needs, or unexpected circumstances change.
- Ensure vacation rental properties are cleaned, inspected, staged, and ready by established check-in deadlines.
- Maintain strong quality-control processes and regularly inspect properties for cleanliness, presentation, condition, and adherence to company standards.
- Ensure Laundry operations provide Housekeeping with the correct quantities and types of linens needed for daily routes and upcoming reservations.
- Maintain appropriate par levels for linens, housekeeping supplies, amenities, and departmental inventory.
- Ensure laundry rooms, storage areas, vehicles, equipment, and other departmental workspaces remain clean, organized, and functional.
- Coordinate deep cleans, seasonal projects, inventory projects, and other recurring property-care needs.
- Respond quickly when guest feedback identifies a cleanliness or presentation concern and ensure appropriate corrective action and follow-up.

- Build effective training processes for new employees and ongoing team development.

- Ensure team members understand appropriate cleaning products, equipment, linen-care procedures, and property-specific requirements.
- Maintain compliance with applicable health, sanitation, workplace safety, and chemical-handling standards.
- Serve as the primary communication link between Housekeeping/Laundry and the Operations team.
- Communicate staffing limitations, workload concerns, property issues, delays, and changing priorities proactively rather than waiting until they become urgent.
- Work collaboratively with Operations, Care Team, Maintenance, Reservations/Guest Services, and leadership to prioritize overall business and guest needs.
- Ensure property damage, maintenance concerns, missing inventory, unusual conditions, and other observations from Housekeeping are promptly communicated to the appropriate department.
- Coordinate cross-department support in advance whenever possible so employees are not unnecessarily pulled between competing priorities at the last minute.
- Participate in leadership and operational meetings as needed.
- Manage departmental labor and operating costs while maintaining appropriate service and quality standards.
- Monitor Housekeeping cost of goods sold (COGS), cleaning supplies, linen expenses, inventory usage, and other departmental costs.
- Review staffing and scheduling decisions with productivity and labor efficiency in mind.
- Manage outside housekeeping or laundry vendors when supplemental support is required.
- Establish expectations for vendors and ensure outside partners meet the same quality and professionalism standards expected of internal employees.
- Review vendor performance, pricing, and service needs and participate in contract negotiations as appropriate.
- Identify opportunities to improve departmental efficiency without compromising the guest experience.
- Continually evaluate Housekeeping and Laundry processes for opportunities to improve quality, communication, efficiency, and accountability.
- Maintain accurate departmental records, checklists, training materials, and documentation.
- Use company software and communication systems consistently and ensure team members do the same.
- Identify operational gaps and bring forward proposed solutions rather than relying solely on leadership to identify next steps.
- Help develop scalable systems and processes as the company, property portfolio, and team evolve.
- 5+ years of housekeeping, hospitality, lodging, property management, or related operational experience preferred.
- Previous experience directly supervising and developing employees strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams with consistency, professionalism, and accountability.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong quality-control instincts.
- Strong organizational, scheduling, prioritization, and time-management skills.
- Ability to remain calm, solution-oriented, and professional when plans change or problems arise.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable having direct coaching and accountability conversations with employees.
- Ability to manage multiple properties, employees, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Comfortable using technology and learning new software systems.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
- Vacation rental, hotel, resort, or multi-property housekeeping experience is highly desirable.
- Valid driver's license and driving record that meets company insurance requirements.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel between company facilities and vacation rental properties throughout our service area.
- Ability to work on-site and in the field; this is not a remote position.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including weekends and occasional holidays.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and move housekeeping supplies, linens, equipment, and other items associated with department operations.
- Ability to spend portions of the workday standing, walking, bending, climbing stairs, and moving throughout vacation rental properties.
- Willingness to assist directly with Housekeeping or Laundry operations when unexpected staffing or operational needs require management support.
- Competitive hourly or salaried compensation based on experience.
- 401(k) retirement plan with 3% employer match.
- $450/month Health & Wellness Stipend after 90 days of employment for eligible senior team members.
- Additional Paid Vacation: One extra week of paid vacation as a benefit of this management position, in addition to the company's standard vacation allowance.
- Oregon sick time in accordance with company policy and applicable law.
- Employee discounts on Lifestyle Properties vacation rentals and PinotCar wine tours.
- Opportunities for professional growth and increased leadership responsibility within a growing hospitality organization.
- A locally based team where your work has a direct impact on our guests, homeowners, employees, and company success.
