Step into an engaging contract opportunity supporting elementary students through a vibrant start to the school year! This assignment is ideal for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) who holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and is passionate about making a difference in a school setting. You’ll serve as a substitute for an SLP on FMLA, covering from August 10th through the end of October.

Embrace the chance to collaborate with students and staff across two welcoming elementary schools. You’ll have the added benefit of a dedicated Speech-Language Assistant (SLA), ensuring teamwork even with a larger caseload of 117 students. If you prefer to work remotely, there is flexibility to consider virtual (VOCO) arrangements for the right candidate.

Key Qualifications:

• Current SLP license, CCC certification, and prior experience in a school setting
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively with the support of an SLA
• Strong communication, organization, and report-writing skills
• Comfort with elementary-age students and collaborating with education staff
• Flexibility to work on-site or in a virtual (VOCO) format, if needed

Responsibilities Include:

• Covering SLP responsibilities for the first 12 weeks of school due to FMLA
• Delivering direct and indirect speech-language services to students in two elementary buildings
• Collaborating with fellow educators, administrators, and families
• Providing assessments, developing and implementing IEPs, and documenting progress
• Partnering closely with an SLA to ensure continuity of care
