Providence Health & Services - Chief Supply Chain Officer

Korn Ferry Executive Search

The Organization
At Providence, we use our voice to advocate for vulnerable populations and needed reforms in health care. We are also pursuing innovative ways to transform health care by keeping people healthy, and making our services more convenient, accessible, and affordable for all. In an increasingly uncertain world, we are committed to high-quality, compassionate health care for everyone - regardless of coverage or ability to pay. We help people and communities benefit from the best health care model for the future - today.

As one of the largest health systems in the United States, our 125,000 caregivers (all employees) serve in fifty-one hospitals, over 1,000 clinics and a comprehensive range of health and social services across Alaska, California, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, and Washington. As an integrated health plan and provider delivery network, Providence operates the system at over $30B in annual revenue. Providence maintains headquarters in Renton, WA and Irvine, CA and is governed by a sponsorship council comprised of members of its two sponsoring ministries, Providence Ministries and St. Joseph Health Ministry.

Providence across five western states:
  • Alaska
  • Montana
  • Oregon
  • Northern California
  • Southern California
  • Washington
The Providence affiliate family includes:
  • Covenant Health in West Texas and New Mexico.
  • Facey Medical Group in Los Angeles, CA.
  • Kadlec in Southeast Washington.
  • Pacific Medical Centers in Seattle, WA.
  • Swedish Health Services in Seattle, WA.
Like most healthcare systems across the United States, Providence continues to focus on its recovery and renewal plan through its Destination Health 2025 strategic plan. This plan is focusing on three principal areas:
  • Recover: Focusing on core operations
  • Renew: Portfolio and organizational restructuring
  • Deconstruct and diversify healthcare
A major component of the Portfolio and organizational restructuring initiative has focused on simplifying the operational and clinical structure through the consolidation of administrative leadership from seven regions to three divisions, along with a consolidation of clinical operations with the intent to steer resources to the bedside and direct patient care and simplify decision making. As result of these efforts, the North, Central and South Division was created in 2022.

As a comprehensive health care organization, we are serving more people, advancing best practices, and continuing our more than 100-year tradition of serving the poor and vulnerable. Delivering services across seven states, Providence is committed to touching millions of more lives and enhancing the health of the American West to transform care for the next generation and beyond.

Mission

As expressions of God's healing love, witnessed through the ministry of Jesus, we are steadfast in serving all, especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
