This role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring HR operations run smoothly.Responding to staff inquiries regarding HR policies, employee benefits, and other HR-related mattersAssisting in the planning of company eventsOrganize and manage the review and updating of employee data and reportsCoordinate administrative steps of onboarding and offboarding, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.Maintain HR records and systems, including updates to employee data and reporting structures.Support audits and compliance reviews by preparing reports, verifying documentation, and ensuring records are current.Monitor HR workflows and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and consistency.Provide first-level HR support by responding to employee inquiries and directing them to appropriate resources.Assist with benefits and payroll administration, including data entry, updates, and vendor coordination.Support workplace health and safety processes, ensuring proper documentation and communication of requirements.Assist HR leadership with projects, events, and initiatives that enhance employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Able to demonstrate professional work ethicOutstanding written and verbal communication skillsGood interpersonal and organizational skillsProficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.High attention to detail and accuracy in handling sensitive data and documentation.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of professionalism.RequirementsAssociate's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (or in progress, with graduation expected within first year.)Prior HR internship or related administrative experience preferred.Experience with HRIS or payroll systems (such as Paylocity/ADP) preferred.Coursework or exposure to HR compliance, employment law, or organizational behavior strongly desired.Apply NowSubmitting your application is a great way to learn more about Newport Mental Health.
