About the Position

Elite Manufacturing and Professional Services is seeking an experienced  Industrial Maintenance Manager for a glass manufacturing facility. This individual will oversee maintenance operations, lead maintenance personnel, and ensure production equipment and facility systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in industrial maintenance, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance programs, and team leadership within a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance operations to support production efficiency and minimize equipment downtime.
• Lead, train, schedule, and supervise industrial maintenance technicians and other maintenance personnel.
• Develop, implement, and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and coordinate repairs involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated equipment.
• Oversee maintenance and repairs of glass manufacturing machinery, production lines, conveyors, motors, pumps, and related industrial equipment.
• Identify recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and performance.
• Coordinate emergency repairs and prioritize maintenance activities based on production needs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inspections, work orders, and parts inventory.
• Manage maintenance supplies, replacement parts, and vendor relationships as needed.
• Collaborate with production and operations leadership to plan equipment servicing and minimize production interruptions.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with company policies, OSHA requirements, and applicable safety standards.
• Promote a culture of workplace safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
• Prior maintenance leadership or supervisory experience required.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and industrial equipment repair.
• Working knowledge of motors, gearboxes, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and industrial automation.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance needs in a fast-paced production environment.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in glass manufacturing, glass processing, or a similar continuous-production environment.
• Knowledge of PLCs, automated production systems, and industrial control systems.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Familiarity with root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Technical certifications, vocational training, or a degree in industrial maintenance, electrical technology, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
