Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Valid state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Epic experience required Description: This position involves floating to various ICU and intermediate care units. Candidates will work in Medical ICU, Thoracic Cardiovascular ICU, Coronary Care Unit, Surgical Trauma ICU, Neuro & Neurosurgery ICU, and other critical care environments. Floating may include Intermediate Care Special Pathogens Unit and ED Boarders. Shifts will typically be nights with potential options for 36 or 48 hours per week. Every other weekend and holiday work is required. Time off cannot be approved for certain holidays. Candidates must adhere to float policy. Licenses pending approval are acceptable but need to be in hand before the specified date. Required skills include care of ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation, and monitoring of dysrhythmias. Experience with procedural sedation administration and pulmonary artery line monitoring is necessary. The patient ratios will vary based on shifts and conditions. Interdisciplinary support includes various specialized teams to assist in patient care. Candidates should have experience with critical care diagnoses and special procedures. References are required for verification. Travelers should be prepared to float within their scope of practice.
