Diesel MechanicWe are seeking a skilled and dependable Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. This position requires strong mechanical knowledge, troubleshooting abilities, and a commitment to quality workmanship and safety standards.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Perform preventative maintenance on diesel engines and equipment, including oil changes, fluid checks, and filter replacements.Diagnose and repair mechanical issues involving engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, hydraulics, and electrical systems.Conduct inspections and diagnostic testing to identify equipment concerns and determine appropriate repairs.Utilize diagnostic tools, software, and testing equipment to troubleshoot performance issues.Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records for all vehicles and equipment serviced.Ensure work is completed in compliance with company safety policies and applicable regulations.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding repair status, parts needs, and equipment conditions.Stay current on industry standards, technology, and best practices related to diesel repair and maintenance.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required.Must have a valid driver's license.Previous experience as a diesel mechanic or in a related heavy equipment repair role is required.Strong knowledge of diesel engines, vehicle systems, and mechanical repair procedures.Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and repair equipment.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.Valid Class A or Class B commercial driver's license preferred.
