The Radcliff Veteran Center is a skilled nursing facility that cares for the Commonwealth of Kentucky's Veterans. Our mission is to Serve Kentucky's Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity and providing compassionate care. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position is responsible for caring for the residents of the Carl M. Brashear Radcliff Veterans Center.

Responsibilities May Include, But Are Not Limited To:

• Performs nursing duties under direction of a Registered Nurse or Physician.
• Administers medication and treatments as prescribed.
• Collects assessment data and cares for our veterans within the scope of the LPN clinical skills.

This position, in org unit 10202457, in Hardin county has an approved Locality Premium of $2.63 in compliance with 101 KAR 2:034 Section 9(1).

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must be licensed in Kentucky as a practical nurse or must have a valid work permit issued by the Kentucky Board of Nursing. Must maintain any required licensure (s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification. Employing agency is responsible for ensuring employee possesses and maintains required licensure(s), certification(s) or other credentials. Working Conditions Duties may involve close work with possibly hostile mental patients. May be exposed to infectious waste, diseases and conditions which requires the following of safety procedures. Probationary Period This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
