Summary of Job Duties:

Support infrastructure operations, operational analytics, and cloud data integration. The student will be embedded within Enterprise Services to develop an understanding of enterprise technology operations, identify meaningful operational metrics, and help improve service delivery through data-informed decisions.

This role combines infrastructure operations, data engineering, analytics, and automation. The student will work with infrastructure engineers and service owners to understand workloads, identify opportunities for greater efficiency and visibility, and develop monitoring and reporting solutions that support reliable cloud and enterprise services.

A primary focus of the position is integrating operational data from Microsoft cloud platforms, including Azure, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Graph, into Microsoft Fabric. The student will also work with TeamDynamix and other enterprise systems to create scalable datasets, automated data pipelines, monitoring solutions, and operational dashboards.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

• Current student in computer science, data science, information systems, engineering, or a related field.

• Working knowledge of Python programming.

• Experience working with REST APIs and JSON data.

• Understanding of data integration, transformation, and analysis concepts.

• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues involving authentication, permissions, connectivity, and data retrieval.

• Interest in cloud infrastructure, enterprise operations, automation, monitoring, and analytics.

• Ability to work independently, learn unfamiliar systems, and communicate when assistance is needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Graph API or Azure APIs.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, including pipelines, notebooks, dataflows, lakehouse, or data engineering workloads.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, or Microsoft Entra ID.

• Experience with Power BI, semantic models, or operational dashboards.

• Experience combining data from multiple systems.

• Familiarity with TeamDynamix.

• Experience using Git or another source-control platform.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Ability to identify and document meaningful metrics for assigned infrastructure services and workloads.
• Ability to develop and maintain reliable integrations with Microsoft cloud services.
• Ability to build reusable Fabric assets that support monitoring and reporting.
• Improve awareness of workload health, adoption, utilization, or service delivery.
• Reduce repetitive operational reporting or data preparation.
• Provide accurate, complete, and understandable operational data.
• Complete agreed work with appropriate communication and follow-through.
• Ensure solutions can be supported and extended by others.
• Demonstrate increasing independence across infrastructure and data work.
• Work effectively with engineers, service owners, and stakeholders.
