Traveling CNC Lathe Machinist | Per Diem

Overview

We are hiring experienced CNC Lathe Machinists to support precision manufacturing operations in a fast-paced aerospace production environment. This is an excellent opportunity for machinists who enjoy working with advanced equipment, tight-tolerance components, and a condensed weekend work schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate CNC lathe equipment, including Mori and multi-spindle machines.

• Interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and machining specifications to produce quality parts.

• Work with Siemens-controlled machines to perform complex machining operations.

• Troubleshoot machine performance issues and assist with routine equipment upkeep.

• Verify dimensional accuracy using precision inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other measuring instruments.

• Maintain quality standards while meeting production and safety requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience setting up and operating CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment.

• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.

• Knowledge of GD&T principles and dimensional inspection techniques.

• Familiarity with Siemens controls and Mori machining equipment.

• Working understanding of CNC programming concepts, including G-code and M-code functions.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Strong troubleshooting and critical-thinking skills.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a production setting.

• Experience working on aerospace, precision-machined, or close-tolerance components is a plus.

This is a Contract position based out of Tukwila, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
