Human Resources Manager

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily HR operations of the hotel, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, compliance, training, payroll support, and associate engagement. This role partners closely with department leaders to ensure the property attracts, develops, and retains top talent while maintaining compliance with company policies, employment laws, and brand standards. About Trilith Guesthouse Nestled within the vibrant Town at Trilith, this 192-room boutique hotel is designed not to rest weary travelers, but instead, to awaken the storyteller in all who visit. Trilith Guesthouse opened its doors in 2024 in Fayetteville, Georgia as a gathering place for artists, storytellers, and makers, surrounded by creativity and the nearby Trilith Studios, one of the largest purpose-built movie studios in North America. Featuring sophisticated accommodations, over 20,000 square feet of meeting space, a chef-driven restaurant, and a European-inspired rooftop bar and lounge, Trilith Guesthouse embraces all who seek to continue the timeless tradition of storytelling, promising an immersive experience like no other. What you have Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management or related field preferred. Minimum of 3–5 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in hospitality, hotel, resort, restaurant, or service industries. Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and employee relations. Experience with HRIS systems, applicant tracking systems and Microsoft Office. Marriott systems experience is a plus. Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations professionally. Bilingual skills are a plus. PHR or SHRM-CP preferred but not required. What you’ll do Oversees execution of human resources policies and programs, which may include recruitment and onboarding, training, and employee relations. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including EEO, FMLA, and FLSA. Assists frontline managers in the application of HR programs to departmental operations. Serves as the primary HR contact for associate concerns, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution. Conducts workplace investigations related to complaints, harassment, discrimination, attendance, and performance concerns. Posts positions, screen applicants, coordinate interviews, and extend offers. Maintains applicant tracking systems and ensure all requisitions are updated timely. Oversees new hire orientation and onboarding activities. Analyzes data, prepares reports, and makes recommendations on a variety of human resources initiatives. Supports frontline managers with performance reviews, corrective action, coaching conversations, and development plans. Identifies training needs and coordinate leadership development, onboarding, and compliance training. Monitors turnover, engagement scores, and other metrics to identify trends and opportunities to support operational goals. Supports engagement surveys, action planning, and recognition programs. Supports workers’ compensation, unemployment claims, and OSHA-related reporting. Coordinates annual training requirements, including harassment prevention, safety, ADA, human trafficking, and brand-required training. Monitors human resources budget. Attends leadership meetings and provide HR guidance on staffing, engagement, and compliance matters. Ensures that HR recordkeeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. This position operates in a professional office setting within the hotel. The HR Manager may occasionally need to work evenings, weekends, or holidays based on business needs, employee relations matters, recruiting events, or operational demands. Physical Demand Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the property for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Ability to travel on occasions to attend events, meetings, and training sessions as needed.
