Job Title: Registered Nurse – Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Location: Healdsburg, CA
Shift & Schedule:
Type: Contract | 13 Weeks (With high possibility of extension or permanent placement)
Day Shift | 5x8 Hours
Variable Start Times (7:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 10:00 AM, or 11:00 AM)
40 Hours Per Week | On-Call Rotation Required

(Floating Required to Petaluma and Santa Rosa Facilities)

Pay Rate:
Local Pay: $2350.00 - $2450.00 Weekly
Traveler Pay: $2750.00 - $2800.00 Weekly (Stipend Provided)

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse – Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) for an exciting Travel or Local job in Healdsburg, CA.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality post-anesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from general, regional, or local anesthesia.

• Monitor and manage vital signs, airway patency, hemodynamic stability, and post-surgical pain levels.

• Adapt to variable shift start times based on surgical caseload schedules.

• Participate in the department's required on-call rotation.

• Conduct Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) phone calls and obtain comprehensive patient histories.

• Provide pre-surgical instructions and patient education.

• Float to sister facilities in Petaluma and Santa Rosa as needed.

• Maintain accurate documentation of patient recovery progress and medication administration.

• Assess discharge readiness and coordinate safe patient transitions.

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.

• Active California Registered Nurse License.

• BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).

• ACLS Certification through the AHA.

• Recent clinical experience in a hospital or ambulatory surgical center PACU environment.

• Willingness and ability to float to Petaluma and Santa Rosa facilities.

• Experience or comfort performing pre-admission surgical phone screenings.

• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and patient care skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• PALS Certification.

• Previous experience in high-volume PACU settings.
