Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (12-Hour Mids/Nights)

Location

Puyallup, WA | Acute Care – Level III Trauma Center

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Onsite | 12-Hour Shifts | Mids/Nights (start times 1500 or 1900) | No On-Call Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department averaging approximately 200 patients per day, serving a diverse population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics
• Manage high-acuity cases including trauma, GSW, sepsis, STEMI, stroke (including TNK administration), DKA, mental health, and respiratory emergencies
• Perform cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV access, drip management, medication administration, procedural sedation, and blood administration
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4–5, with the ability to flex based on acuity and staffing needs
• Document accurately and efficiently using the Epic electronic health record system; operate Alaris and Pyxis equipment
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including ER techs, charge nurses, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social work, and security — all available 24/7

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Washington
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and CPI/MOAB
• Recent Epic experience required
• Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV skills, and general ED medication/drip administration
• Traveler Telemetry Competency must be completed and passed prior to start date

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with TNK administration
• Background in procedural sedation and cardiac medication management
• Familiarity with high-volume, fast-paced trauma environments
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
