Pay $32.09 per hour About the Role This is a distinctive opportunity for Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to gain experience working in a government healthcare setting, providing essential health care services within a multidisciplinary team. The role involves ambulatory, emergency, mental health, and infirmary care, enhancing professional skills while serving a critical mission. Key Responsibilities Provide direct care to patients within scope of practice. Administer medications through various routes as ordered. Conduct prescreening and intake screening using established tools. Execute treatments such as wound care and electrocardiograms as ordered. Collect laboratory specimens and perform point‑of‑care testing. Respond to medical emergencies and provide stabilization care. Support other healthcare professionals with patient data and education. Participate in involuntary, court‑ordered care if required. Required Qualifications Graduate from a Vocational/Practical Nurse program approved by a state, District of Columbia, or U.S. territory. Minimum of one‑year experience in a hospital, medical office, or outpatient clinical setting. Maintain a current, full, and unrestricted LVN/LPN license by the state. Maintain BLS for Healthcare Providers certification through the American Heart Association. Preferred Qualifications Experience in detention/correctional or residential healthcare setting. Certified Correctional Health Professional or Certified Corrections Nurse credential. Verbal and written proficiency in Spanish. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficiency in using diagnostic and treatment equipment. Ability to work in a multicultural and multilingual environment.
