Position: Racker
Pay: $16.00/hour + $1.00/hour 2nd shift differential
Shift: 2nd Shift, 3:00pm - 11:30pm

Job Overview for Rackers

The Lee Group is looking for Rackers to work at one of our valued manufacturing clients in Toano, VA. Rackers play an important role in the production process by carefully loading small parts onto racks for processing and finishing, then unloading completed parts. This position requires strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to safely and efficiently handle small components throughout the shift.

 

This position involves handling serialized firearm components as part of the manufacturing process. Due to the nature of the materials handled, candidates must be at least 21 years of age and legally eligible to possess a firearm.

Job Responsibilities of Rackers

• Carefully load small parts onto racks for processing and finishing.
• Unload parts from racks after processing and finishing.
• Use good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity when handling and positioning small parts.
• Safely handle parts throughout the production process.
• Handle serialized firearm components as required by the position.
• Follow established production, quality, and safety procedures.
• Maintain an organized and clean work area.
• Work efficiently to support production needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Job Qualifications of Rackers

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must be legally eligible to possess a firearm due to job duties involving serialized firearm components.
• Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to handle, position, and work with small parts accurately.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and established procedures accurately.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks consistently and efficiently.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work the scheduled 2nd shift.

 

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements of Rackers

• Work is performed in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• May be exposed to typical manufacturing conditions, including noise, machinery, and production materials.
• Position requires extended periods of standing and walking.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Must have the manual dexterity necessary to repeatedly handle and position small parts on racks.
• Must be able to safely load, unload, and handle production parts throughout the shift.
• Must be able to perform repetitive physical tasks while maintaining accuracy and productivity.

 

Shift Details

2nd Shift: 2:00pm - 10:30pm
Pay: $16.00/hour plus a $1.00/hour 2nd shift differential
