Barback PositionParkwest Bicycle Casino is looking for a Barback. As a Barback you will assist with stocks, cleans and maintains beverage stations. You will also have the opportunity to assist Bartenders by performing the following duties and responsibilities listed below.We are seeking a team player who is ready to go the extra mile on every occasion and someone who will always look for opportunities to improve our service. Then check this out!ResponsibilitiesMain responsibilities include stocking all bars for supplies prior to the start of each shift.Responsible for helping the Bartender taking inventory at the beginning and ending of the shift.May be allowed to provide breaks to Bartenders. Assists Bartenders and wait staff as needed.Checks all orders received from the Storeroom for accuracy and quality and places orders in storage.Responsible for checking all liquor bottles for broken seals.Provides courteous customer service to team members and customers.Maintains a clean, well-stocked work area at all times.Maintain facilities and equipment in compliance with safe work practices.Ensure the security of customers' property at all times.Must be able to concentrate in an intense, fast paced environment with numerous distractions.May be dual-rated to work in other areas when needed.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsMust be able to pass mandatory screening including a background check, and drug test.Must possess a California Food Handler Card.Must be at least 21 years of age.Able to deal effectively and interact well with customers and co-workers.Able to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.Available for work which may include weekends and evening scheduling and ready for all programs and activities. Able to work varied shifts and flexible schedules.Able to communicate clearly with team members.Able to work independently.Able to work within a team environment.Requires strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively.Education: High school diploma or equivalent.Experience: Entry-level position. Previous barback or food handling experience helpful. Previous experience as a Bartender a plus.Physical and Mental Requirements:Must be able to lift and carry tools, supplies, and inventory up to 50 pounds.Must be able to walk, stand, and bend at neck for 6 or more hours a day.Position will require repetitive use of hands for the following actions; simple and power grasping, fine manipulation, pushing & pulling and reaching for entire shift.Position may require exposure to excessive noise.Must be able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation.EEO StatementParkwest Casino is an equal opportunity employer.
