A full-time Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologist position is available in Las Vegas. This role involves providing specialized anesthesia care for complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures in a high-acuity surgical environment.

The physician will support a broad range of cases, including advanced cardiothoracic operations such as bypass surgery, minimally invasive cardiac procedures, robotic-assisted surgeries, and complex multi-stage aortic repairs. The role also includes anesthesia management for non-cardiac thoracic procedures such as esophageal resections and video-assisted thoracoscopic surgeries.

Compensation:

• Salary Range: $507,457.60 – $667,056.00 annually

Job Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for cardiothoracic surgical cases including cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures
• Manage anesthesia for bypass surgeries, minimally invasive cardiac procedures, robotic surgeries, and complex aortic surgeries
• Provide anesthesia support for non-cardiac thoracic procedures such as esophageal resections and VATS (video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery)
• Participate in perioperative planning and development of anesthesia care plans
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to hospital protocols during high-risk surgical procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiology staff, and perioperative teams
• Support hospital quality improvement (QI) and performance improvement initiatives
• Contribute to emergency response readiness and critical care coordination when required

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from an accredited institution
• Completion of an Anesthesiology Residency
• Completion of a 1-year Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology Fellowship from an accredited program
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical practice in cardiothoracic anesthesiology
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
• Valid medical license in the State of Nevada
• Nevada Pharmacy Board License to prescribe medications
• DEA Controlled Substance Registration

Additional certifications may be required:

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Advanced Life Support (ALS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and/or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), depending on assignment

Working Hours

• Full-time permanent position
• Hospital-based surgical schedule
• Work hours aligned with operative schedules, including potential early mornings, late finishes, and on-call coverage for emergent cardiothoracic cases
• Participation in emergency surgical coverage as required by the facility
