Make a meaningful impact by providing essential occupational therapy services to students in a supportive and dynamic educational environment. ProCare Therapy is seeking a Occupational Therapist for a school-based, contracted position near Camas, WA for the 26/27 school semester.
This role is ideal for an experienced OT who enjoys working in school settings and making a difference in the lives of children and young adults.
Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapist (OT) licensure in the state of Washington
- Proven experience or specialized training working in schools
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes and documentation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and families
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
- Comfortable adapting interventions for various age groups and needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students’ occupational therapy needs
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans based on evaluation results
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise and recommendations
- Work closely with other therapists, educators, and parents to support student progress
- Document treatment sessions, progress, and outcomes according to school and legal requirements
- Provide consultation and resources to staff and families for carryover of strategies in classroom and at home
- Stay current with best practices and therapy techniques for school settings
