Travel RN - Telemetry Boise, Idaho Posted: 12 days ago Schedule: Days, 3x12hrs (36 hrs/week) Contract Length: 13 weeks Start Date: ASAP (actual start 3‑4 weeks after offer) Openings: 2 positions Pay: $1,944/wk ($25,269 for 13 weeks; $101,076 annual equivalent) Description American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Telemetry position requiring 2 years of experience and post‑procedural cardiac experience, with day shift scheduling and floating responsibilities across two units. Responsibilities Acute care hospital setting on a Telemetry unit split across two floors (3rd and 7th) 3rd Floor (20 beds) focuses on cardiac patients including post‑op open heart, TAVRs, ablations, post‑caths, pacemakers, and medical telemetry 7th Floor (35 beds) is general telemetry with CHF, sepsis, electrolyte imbalances, post‑strokes, and post‑procedural overflow Read & interpret telemetry strips twice per shift Assist with high‑flow, BiPAP, CPAP management; assist RT as needed Titrate Heparin and occasionally insulin drips; facility will train on insulin if needed Common set‑rate drips: cardiac GTT, amiodarone, Cardizem, dopamine, dobutamine Float to any MS, MS‑Tele, or Tele unit within the hospital or to sister facilities in Meridian and Nampa Flexible scheduling 6 weeks at a time; maximum of 5 consecutive shifts, no block scheduling Requirements Active ID or compact RN license; must be active at time of consideration Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Minimum 2 years RN experience Post‑procedural cardiac experience (catheter lab, ablations, open‑heart surgery) PCU and stepdown experience preferred Ability to read, interpret, and document telemetry strips Epic EMR experience Prior travel nursing experience preferred but not required Valid driver’s license Two professional references: one recent supervisor and one recent peer/supervisor Additional Information Expected to float between 3rd and 7th floor telemetry units Holiday coverage may be required, but not on every holiday 2‑shift orientation: one shift on each floor Any color scrubs acceptable Must reside >50 miles from the facility Former permanent employees must have been separated for at least one year to be eligible Leadership treats travelers comparably to permanent staff; history of contract extensions Payment Breakdown (Weekly) Weekly wages: $648 (36 hrs × $18/hr) Stipends: $1,296 (lodging $820 + meals & incidentals $476) Net weekly pay: $1,944 In compliance with state pay transparency laws, the estimated weekly pay range for this role is $1,749 – $1,944.
