Location: Anderson, IN
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
Pay Rate: $35-$45 per flagged hour, depending on experience
Pay Type: Flat rate

Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Light Duty Diesel Technician in Anderson, IN, for a well-established, family-owned repair shop. This position offers $35-$45 per flagged hour with stated earning potential of $100,000+, along with a Monday-Friday schedule. The shop emphasizes teamwork, ongoing training, professional growth, and work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair light-duty diesel truck systems and components

• Perform diesel engine, electrical, and drivability diagnostics

• Use diagnostic skills to identify faults and determine appropriate repair solutions

• Complete in-frame overhauls and other diesel engine repairs

• Perform transmission removal and replacement

• Accurately track labor time and completed work in shop systems

• Collaborate with the team to provide efficient, high-quality repairs

• Follow established repair procedures and quality standards

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of hands-on light duty diesel repair experience

• Diesel diagnostic experience required

• Strong knowledge of diesel engines and electrical systems

• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical concerns

• Broad hands-on repair skills across multiple vehicle systems

• Ability to work independently, manage repair tasks, and solve technical problems

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork
