Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to laboring patients and newborns in a busy Labor & Delivery unit. Deliver comprehensive patient support through advanced clinical skills and compassionate interaction.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, monitor, and document maternal and fetal conditions throughout labor and delivery.
• Administer medications, epidurals, and assist with procedures such as c-sections and cerclage.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Support shared decision-making with patients and families, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Prepare and support patients during procedures such as L&D, C-sections, and postpartum care.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, certifications, and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with at least 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience.
• Possess current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate or CEFM.
• Demonstrate expertise in caring for laboring patients and newborns immediately post-delivery.
• Capable of circulating and recovering C-section patients and managing obstetric interventions.
• Show proficiency with documentation systems such as CPN and Meditach.
• Submit current certifications and proof of experience upon application.
