Physical Therapist - Pain Services

Description The Physical Therapist (PT) is a member of the interdisciplinary team that provides direct clinical services to the Swedish Pain Services (SPS) including the outpatient \"Functional Restoration\" center and hospital-based \"Pain Management\" suite. Upon hire: Washington Physical Therapist License --or-- Washington state physical therapy license, or temporary permit Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association Strong understanding of bio psychosocial model of chronic pain Ability to learn and/or integrate the latest concepts of Pain Neuroscience Education into treatment plans Strong orthopedic background Highly developed interpersonal, and counseling skills required Demonstrated ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple demands and projects Ability to work with a diverse patient and staff population Ability to work effectively with groups Ability to develop cooperative relationships with families, patients, physicians and other health care professionals within and outside Swedish Ability to work in different settings as required by system needs Preferred Qualifications Women's health continuing education or certification experience Pain Neuroscience continuing education or certification as therapeutic pain specialist Graduation from accredited DPT program Experience in ortho, neuro, cancer, cardiac or other designated specialty populations based on campus needs Experience treating chronic pain Why Join Providence Swedish? The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
