Join Our Team as a Neuro-Ophthalmologist

Our organization is actively looking for a dedicated ophthalmologist with a focus on Neuro-Ophthalmology to become part of our full-time team, which includes both subspecialists and general ophthalmologists.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional patient care
  • Engaging in research activities
  • Teaching and supervising residents
  • Instructing medical students
Qualifications

Applicants must have:

  • Completed an accredited residency in ophthalmology or neurology
  • Undergone fellowship training in neuro-ophthalmology
  • Board certification or eligibility

We also welcome candidates with additional expertise in comprehensive ophthalmology and/or surgical skills.

About the Location

Our facility is situated in Loma Linda, a unique community recognized as the only Blue Zone in the United States. This family-oriented area boasts a strong community spirit and a commitment to health and wellness. Located in Southern California, between Los Angeles and Palm Springs, Loma Linda offers easy access to beaches, skiing, hiking, and numerous outdoor activities. The region features a low cost of living and excellent educational institutions, both public and private. Faculty members may qualify for federal student loan forgiveness programs.

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated total annual compensation is approximately $235,000. This figure includes variable compensation and is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) work schedule, as detailed in the department's compensation plan. The starting base salary, which varies according to experience and faculty rank, is expected to range from $210,000 to $250,000. Further details regarding compensation will be discussed during the recruitment process.

Additional Information

As a California employer, residency in California is required by the start date. Please note that this position is not eligible for a Conrad 30 waiver. The department will consider qualified candidates through the 2168 CA Special Permit Program.
