Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and resident preferences Ensure all food is prepared safely, hygienically, and in compliance with health regulations Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to meet nutritional standards Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas Collaborate with team members to deliver timely and efficient food service Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed Adapt to flexible scheduling, including some weekends, evenings, and holidays Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a healthcare, assisted living, or senior care setting Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures Ability to prepare a variety of nutritious meals with attention to presentation Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training or certification is a plus At Water's Edge Assisted Living, we foster a warm, respectful, and growth-oriented environment.
