Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our PM&R physician, you will join our dynamic healthcare team at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, specializing in Pain Medicine with interest and experience in managing musculoskeletal conditions, making a significant impact on their lives and families.  We pride ourselves in practicing high quality, evidence based, and patient centered medicine.

 

You will provide compassionate and expert care, conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic well-being of our patients and their families within Franciscan Medical Group.

 

To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled, board-certified, and compassionate PM&R physician, possessing expertise in diagnosing and managing a wide range of  neurologic disorders, alongside strong communication abilities. You will also demonstrate a deep commitment to patient-centered care and the capacity to thrive within a collegial and supportive environment. 

• Full-time (1.0FTE) position based at Virginia Mason Medical Center, a 336 bed, level II trauma facility located in downtown Seattle.

• The section provides musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation services with a full complement of rehabilitation providers including PT, OT, psychologists and nursing support.

• This position in 100% outpatient and will primarily focus on conservative and interventional management of musculoskeletal and pain conditions at our downtown and Lynnwood locations.  

• Teaching and research opportunities are available and an interest in outcomes research and systems based approaches is a plus.

• This position is part of our growth and quality strategy for spine and musculoskeletal care in coordination with our anesthesia pain and spine surgery sections.  

• Our section has been instrumental in the award winning team based “Seattle Spine Clinic” approach to managing patients with spine conditions.

Job Requirements

Required

 

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution

• Board certification or eligibility in Physiatry.

• Pain Medicine fellowship training required

• Active or eligible license in the state of Washington

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

• Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to children and families

$277,198 - $393,120 /year
