Hospitalist PositionAnsible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting multiple Hospitalists to support the Fargo VA Health Care System located at 2101 Elm Street N, Fargo, ND 58102. Schedule typically includes either 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM. To address these challenges, we employ intelligent and committed staff who take care of our customers' success as if it is their own.ResponsibilitiesAdmit and coordinate care for hospitalized medical patients.Perform history and physical examinations upon admission.Evaluate, diagnose, and treat hospitalized patients.Order and interpret: Laboratory testsDiagnostic imagingElectrocardiograms (EKGs)Prescribe and manage medications.Coordinate patient placement within the hospital.Conduct end-of-life discussions and advance care planning.Consult with specialty and subspecialty providers.Manage discharge planning and ensure appropriate follow-up care.Coordinate care with primary care providers.Provide perioperative medical management.Assess and stabilize patients with emergent conditions.Participate in rapid response teams and code team activationsAbscess incision and drainageThoracentesisParacentesisLumbar punctureNasogastric tube insertion/reinsertionTransurethral catheter placementRemoval of lines and tubesJoint aspiration/injection (excluding ankle and hip)Tennis elbow injectionsFecal occult blood testingAll ACLS proceduresReview all admissions recommended by NPs and PAs.Participate in person-to-person handoffs for inpatient admissions.Provide consultation and treatment recommendations to referring providers.Initiate social work referrals for homeless veterans and patients without primary care providers.Provide patient discharge education and follow-up instructions.Ensure communication of test results in accordance with VA policyQualificationsMD or DO degree.Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.Active, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of ColumbiaActive AHA BLS and ACLSMust be able to pass a Federal background investigation.All candidates must be able to:Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shiftLift up to 50 lbs from floor to waistLift up to 20 lbsCarry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distancePush/pull with 30 lbs of forceAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
