Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg Tele

Med/Surg Oncology RN – Medical/Surgical Oncology

Shift: 12-hr day/night rotating (may be scheduled days, nights, or combination)

Requirements:

• License: RN with valid state or compact license
• Certifications: BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
• Experience: Minimum 2 years inpatient RN experience (acute care must be current/consistent within last 12 months)
• EMR: Experience with Epic is required
• Skills: Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition, Peripheral IVs, PICC/central line care, PCA, IV medication administration, Management of high-acuity medical oncology patients (CBI, chest drains, trach care, HFNC), Experience with rapid response/code teams

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for adult and geriatric patients with solid tumors and hematologic cancers.
• Monitor patient vitals and telemetry, identifying potential complications or changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV therapy.
• Implement infection prevention and fall prevention protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans and patient education.
• Participate in rapid response and code team situations as needed.

• Vaccines: Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Orientation: 72 hours
• Background check and fingerprinting requirements post-contract signing.
• Return-to-office timeframe required with submission
• Parking options: Various permits available, subject to change.
