Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students and educators with your expertise in school psychology. This role offers an immediate start through the end of May, working 37.5 hours per week at the secondary level. You'll be joining a collaborative environment where your skills will make a tangible impact on students' growth and well-being.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid or eligibility to obtain New Mexico PED school psychologist license
- Experience working with secondary (middle and/or high school) populations
- Knowledge of Evaluations and Manifestation Determination Reviews (MDRs)
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Flexibility and passion for student advocacy and support
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations
- Participate in and facilitate manifestation determination reviews
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) alongside multidisciplinary teams
- Provide direct counseling and support services to students as needed
- Serve as an advocate for students’ educational and emotional growth
- Consult with staff and parents to develop effective interventions and support systems
