ASSISTANT PROGRAM MANAGER

Filomena Residence, 95 Haight St, Deer Park, NY 11729, USA Shift: 40 hours per week Tuesday–Saturday 12p–8p. Must be flexible as needed. Pay $23.50 per hour plus comprehensive benefits package. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred) One year’s experience working with people with developmental disabilities Six months’ supervisory experience (preferred) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Valid NY State Driver’s License required Must be able to pass a pre‑employment road test and drive an agency vehicle Responsibilities Provide ongoing protective oversight to people living in the residence 24/7 on‑call accessibility Assist with scheduling, personnel‑related issues, training of residential staff and other delegated tasks Provide on‑going supervision of residential staff Assist with and instruct each person in basic activities of daily living Provide training and support for each person in accordance with the person’s program plan Complete staff performance evaluations Participate as required at all IDT or Life Plan meetings and OPWDD surveys Be available to all staff for coaching and observation around Person‑Centered Supports Participate in the selection and evaluation of staff Successfully complete the AMAP course and annual recertification Perform general lifting (e.g., laundry, groceries) Drive agency vehicles; demonstrate safe driving practices; participate in agency driver safety course Ensure cleanliness of vehicles; address any maintenance issues Responsible for NYS Vehicle Inspection and routine maintenance of agency vehicles Conduct road tests with prospective and current employees on agency’s vehicle in accordance with Life’s WORC road test procedures Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment, including weekly walkthroughs with Residence Manager Properly use and maintain household equipment and appliances Attend all required meetings and trainings on time and prepared Ensure adherence to agency quality standards of operation; make decisions in conjunction with and in the absence of the Residence Manager that drive operational processes Become skilled with agency software (Medisked, Outlook, Ultipro, etc.) Adhere to agency policies (Cash Policy, Medisked Attestation, etc.) Assist people supported in planning, coordinating and attending community integration and inclusion activities Adhere to agency quality standards of operation Adhere to paperwork time frame submissions Perform other duties as assigned Shift flexibility: 40 hours per week, flexibility required Employee Benefits Paid training Affordable health insurance Generous paid time off (PTO) policy 100% company‑paid dental insurance Pension plan / 403b with company match Student loan repayment plan Vision insurance Tuition and textbook reimbursement Staff recognition awards & bonuses Equal Opportunity Employer.
