Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Nights)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide general medical-surgical nursing care including medication administration and comprehensive patient management
• Deliver post-operative patient care for surgical and bariatric populations
• Support oncology patient care within a general Med Surg unit environment
• Perform remote telemetry monitoring in coordination with a monitor technician, overseeing rhythm interpretation
• May float to Med Surg Telemetry unit as needed; standard patient ratio is 1:6 with a surge plan of up to 1:7 maximum
• Document and manage patient care using Cerner EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Pennsylvania (or compact license eligibility)
• Minimum 1–2+ years of Medical Surgical nursing experience required
• Minimum 1+ year of recent travel nursing experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Cerner EMR experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with post-operative surgical, bariatric, or oncology patient populations
• Familiarity with remote telemetry monitoring workflows and rhythm interpretation
• Ability to adapt quickly to varying unit needs in a fast-paced acute care environment
