Essential Areas of Responsibility PRN Position Provide care to patients of all ages – children to geriatrics Emergency Room consults, triage and medical care Round, admit and manage health needs of patients with a range of complex, co‑morbidity disease conditions Manage all inpatient care, including diagnosis, treatment and in‑scope procedures Collaborate and coordinate patient care with physicians, nursing, and other health‑care personnel in the hospital and ER Employ quality and process improvement practices to make the hospital a safer place and improve patient outcomes Compensation Competitive hourly rate: $75/hour Flexible scheduling Detailed Responsibilities Diagnose and treat medical conditions; develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams; foster collaboration Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations Work with healthcare professionals and participate in interdisciplinary meetings Engage in quality assurance initiatives and analyze clinical outcomes for improvement Adhere to ethical standards and stay informed about healthcare regulations Stay updated on medical advancements and participate in ongoing education and training Qualifications Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Masters or Doctorate program Emergency Room or inpatient experience of 1 year or more (required) Board certified as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine or Hospital Medicine ACLS, PALS, and ATLS or CALS certified Must be able to obtain an unrestricted Minnesota practice license and DEA Interested in a shift‑based condensed work schedule Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills Can work independently and be flexible/adaptable to changing patient needs Where You’ll Work Oakes, ND has a population of around 1,800 residents.
