As an Electromechanical Assembler, you'll play an important role in bringing our products to life by assembling, wiring, testing, and inspecting the electrical and mechanical components that power our industry-leading winches and lifting solutions. This is a hands-on manufacturing position for someone who combines mechanical aptitude, electrical knowledge, attention to detail, and pride in craftsmanship.Position Overview:
The Electromechanical Assembler is responsible for building standard and custom electromechanical products according to engineering specifications, production orders, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and work instructions. You'll work with electrical control panels, wire harnesses, motor controls, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), industrial electrical components, and mechanical subassemblies. Success in this position means maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality, proactively solving problems, and working collaboratively with teammates to deliver dependable products on schedule.Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble standard and custom electromechanical products and components
- Build and wire electrical control panels
- Assemble and install wire harnesses, motor controls, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and mechanical subassemblies
- Complete assemblies according to production orders, engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and work instructions
- Read and interpret:
- Electrical schematics
- Wiring diagrams
- Blueprints
- Ladder logic diagrams
- Bills of Material (BOMs)
- Engineering drawings
- Assembly instructions
- Install, wire, route, terminate, and label electrical components using accepted electrical assembly practices
- Perform mechanical assembly using hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and electrical test equipment
- Inspect and test assemblies throughout the manufacturing process
- Verify workmanship, functionality, and compliance with engineering specifications and quality requirements
- Troubleshoot electrical wiring and mechanical assembly issues
- Identify potential root causes of assembly problems
- Work collaboratively with Engineering, Quality, and Production leadership to resolve problems
- Complete required production documentation
- Accurately record completed work, inspections, and testing results
- Enter applicable production information into ERP or manufacturing systems
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation
- Follow established 5S principles, safety policies, quality procedures, and preventative maintenance requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve product quality, manufacturing processes, efficiency, and workplace safety
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Support cross-training efforts and assist team members as needed
- Help the department meet production schedules, customer delivery commitments, and departmental goals
- Follow all company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards

Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Ability to read blueprints, Bills of Material (BOMs), and assembly instructions
- Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical assembly practices
- Understanding of proper wiring, termination, and electrical component installation
- Experience safely using hand tools and power tools
- Experience using measuring devices and electrical test equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic electrical wiring and mechanical assembly problems
- Strong attention to detail
- Commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work
- Basic math skills, including the ability to accurately measure, calculate, and verify dimensions
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to prioritize work and meet production schedules

Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience in electromechanical assembly, electrical assembly, electrical panel building, industrial controls, or a related manufacturing environment
- Experience assembling and wiring industrial control panels
- Experience with motor starters and motor controls
- Experience installing or wiring Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- Experience with PLC-controlled equipment
- Familiarity with industrial electrical systems and automation components
- Experience using multimeters or other electrical test equipment
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments
- Experience performing functional testing of electrical assemblies
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems, electronic work instructions, or production reporting systems
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement principles
- Technical education, apprenticeship, or certification in:
- Electrical
- Electronics
- Mechatronics
- Industrial Maintenance
- Related technical field
