Front End Software Engineer

Pointer Technologies is looking for a Front End Software Engineer to join our team in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. A front end software engineer will be expected to design, develop, test, deploy, document, maintain, and enhance web applications and user-facing web applications in accordance with documented requirements. The ideal candidate will have a broad technical background, a solid understanding of software engineering concepts, and a desire to grow as a technical professional. This person is diligent, works well with others, inspired to learn, driven by mission and practices effective communication. Responsibilities Work as part of a team to design, develop, test, deploy, document, maintain, and enhance web applications based on documented requirements. Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements and document test results. Utilize appropriate software development and design methodologies for the development environment. Provide specific input to the system design of software components, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, and the use of open-source, commercial off-the-shelf, or government off-the-shelf software. Perform requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components. Qualifications Experience using the Linux command-line interface. Experience developing Bash scripts to automate manual processes. Recent software development experience using front‑end technologies such as Vue.js, React.js, Angular, Node, npm, and related toolkits. Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI. Experience with Git source control system. TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required. Nice to Have Experience with containerization principles and tools such as Docker, Docker Swarm, and Kubernetes. Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence).
