Duration:         3 Months – Possible Extension
Location:         Grand Rapids, MI 49504
Shift:                2nd Shift | 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM
Work Arrangement: Onsite

Job Summary

Entry-level Inventory Clerk responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, performing physical counts, verifying shipments, and supporting manufacturing and distribution operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain secure, organized, and accessible inventory for authorized personnel.
• Maintain inventory controls for raw materials, subassemblies, and finished goods.
• Perform physical inventory counts and reconcile results with inventory records.
• Verify quantities of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate requirements with production and sales.
• Support shipping, receiving, inventory control, and product storage activities.
• Support manufacturing operations including assembly, processing, packaging, and distribution.
• Operate automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment as assigned.
• Report machine malfunctions or abnormalities.
• Accurately record inventory and production data according to established procedures.
• Perform routine clerical and operational tasks within the distribution center.
• Identify routine issues and follow established procedures for resolution.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Entry-level; little to no prior experience required.
• Basic knowledge of inventory control and production-related systems/procedures.
• Ability to accurately record and maintain data.
• Ability to follow standard procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with immediate team members.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing/distribution environment.
• Able to perform routine tasks under close supervision.

Work Environment

• Manufacturing and/or distribution center environment.
• Work involves inventory handling, shipping/receiving, production support, and product storage.
• Position follows clearly defined procedures and requires close supervision.
