Social Media & Content Coordinator

Reports to: Extension Health marketing leadership Location: New York, NY (West Village / Midtown) — hybrid or remote-flexible Employment Type: Part-time or Full-time (open to either) About the Role Extension Health, a physician-led longevity medicine practice, is looking for a hands-on social media coordinator to own the day-to-day execution of our organic content across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook. This role spans two connected accounts — @extension.health (brand) and Extension Health’s Medical Director’s personal account — and touches everything from concepting and scripting through scheduling, editing, community management, and calendar ownership. This is a highly cross-functional, execution-heavy role suited to someone who can move fluidly between creative ideation, hands-on editing, and organized project management — all while maintaining a clinical, evidence-based brand voice (not wellness-industry hype). What You’ll Do Concept and script original content ideas for both @extension.health and Extension Health’s Medical Director’s personal Instagram Translate clinical/medical topics into accessible, engaging short-form video and static content Maintain brand voice consistency: authoritative, precise, evidence-backed — never hype-driven or “bro-science” Production & Editing Edit all video content (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts) including trend overlays, captions, and pacing Design static social posts (feed posts, carousels, graphics) in line with EH’s visual brand system Manage the shot list/production pipeline from raw footage to published post Scheduling & Publishing Schedule and publish content across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook using later.com Maintain the weekly posting cadence: ~3 unique posts to @extension.health, collab posts cross-posted to both accounts, and 1 unique post exclusive to Extension Health’s Medical Director’s Instagram Coordinate publishing timing around the internal approval chain (medical/compliance review → agency review → scheduling) Community Management Monitor and respond to DMs and comments across both accounts in a timely, on-brand manner Flag sensitive or clinical questions (e.g., medical advice requests) to the appropriate team member rather than responding directly Marketing Operations Own and maintain the marketing content calendar Manage the Notion workspace for social (content pipeline, status tracking, briefs) Set up and maintain ManyChat automation flows across both accounts (e.g., keyword triggers, DM funnels) What We’re Looking For 2+ years of experience running social media for a brand, creator, or agency client — healthcare, wellness, or clinical experience a plus Strong video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere, or similar) and comfort with fast turnaround, trend-aware short-form editing Working knowledge of static design tools (Canva, Figma, or Adobe) Experience scheduling multi-platform content via later.com or a comparable tool Familiarity with Notion for calendar/project management Experience with ManyChat or similar chatbot/automation platforms is a strong plus Excellent written voice — able to write clinically precise copy that still feels human and accessible Highly organized, comfortable owning a calendar and multiple moving pieces independently Discretion and good judgment around what content requires medical/compliance review before publishing Nice to Have Experience working with a physician, clinic, or regulated health brand Interest in longevity medicine, diagnostics, or the wellness/health optimization space Comfort being the point of contact between a talent (physician) and a brand account Logistics Flexible on part-time vs. full-time depending on the right candidate This is an Extension Health employee position, working closely with Extension Health’s clinical and marketing teams as well as our external creative agency partner #J-18808-Ljbffr Extension Health
