MRI Technologist – Remote Steering Role

Overview

We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a unique remote “steering” role based in Freehold, NJ. In this position, you will operate MRI scanners remotely while collaborating with an on-site technical assistant who handles patient positioning.

This is an innovative opportunity to combine advanced imaging expertise with a technology-driven workflow in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Position Highlights

• Full-time, permanent role
• Remote scanning model (work from centralized command center)
• Monday–Friday schedule (11:30 AM – 8:00 PM)
• 15% shift differential

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI scans remotely with the support of an on-site assistant
• Ensure patient safety by following established protocols
• Monitor patient condition via camera systems and assistant communication
• Provide guidance during scans and respond to patient needs
• Recognize and respond to emergency situations, including directing system shutdown if needed
• Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to ensure quality imaging and care
• Deliver excellent patient care while maintaining efficiency and accuracy

Requirements

• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification – Required
• Minimum 3 years of MRI experience
• Experience with GE and/or Siemens MRI systems preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and make quick clinical decisions
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment

• Hourly Pay: $42.00 – $55.00 (based on experience)
