Description

• Conduct evaluations for various age groups - pediatric, adult, and geriatric - utilizing both standardized assessments and observational strategies.
• Craft individualized treatment plans that encompass both immediate objectives and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Administer tailored speech therapy sessions that focus on aspects such as communication, language development, fluency, voice control, and swallowing techniques.
• Collaborate closely with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to devise holistic care strategies.
• Provide education and resources to patients and families to facilitate progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
• Maintain accurate documentation consistent with legislative and organizational standards.
• Commit to keeping up to date with the latest advancements in the field through continuing education and professional peer interaction.

Education

• Required Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification due within the first 30 days of employment.
