Registered Nurse - ICU

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide critical care to patients in the ICU setting. The role encompasses the management of complex medical conditions, especially in the neuro and cardiac domains. Nurses will need to be flexible and willing to float between units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions, delivering comprehensive care in the ICU environment.
• Utilize advanced medical technologies and equipment such as CRRT, Prismaflex, and ventilators.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Float to various units as necessary, with the exception of Behavioral and Emergency departments.
• Provide support for patients with diagnoses including strokes, sepsis, CHF, and post-operative care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in ICU, with 4-5 years preferred.
• Current and active NY State RN license and NURSYS report for license verification.
• Current AHA certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• Demonstrated experience with CRRT and Prismaflex.
• Heart experience is highly preferred.
