Housekeeper - Real Estate - Maintenance

Position Summary Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of assigned areas, offices, building facilities, or residential spaces within a WashU business unit. Responsibilities Daily cleaning of entryways, entry lounges, restrooms, stairwells, hallways, floor lounges, study rooms, laundry areas, student suite bathrooms and living rooms. Complete detail projects within residential areas as assigned. Adjust daily assignments during the summer when building work changes frequently. Communicate daily with the housekeeping supervisor regarding issues, building or furniture concerns, and supply or equipment needs. Report maintenance issues, suspicious persons to Campus Police, and any other relevant concerns to Facilities or Residential Life Center. Follow WashU rules and regulations and perform other duties as assigned. Working Conditions Work is performed in scattered off‑campus buildings, with occasional seasonal weekend shifts. Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting and standing for the majority of the day. Must be physically fit and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. to waist level. Exposure to dust, allergens and cleaning chemicals may occur. Required Qualifications No education, certification, or work experience required. Class E (MO) or Class D (IL) driver's license with a good driving record. Ability to perform essential functions of the position, with accommodations if requested. Preferred Qualifications Self‑motivated, able to take direction while working independently. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and maintain high personal and departmental standards. Salary Grade G03‑H: $15.25 – $20.77 per hour.
